Usually, when there are oranges at home, they don't last long enough to be used in cooking. But this time, I managed to make a soft marble cake flavored with this round citrus fruit.

Ingredients
 1 Orange
 125 melted butter
 3 eggs
 200 powdered sugar
 6 Milk
 200 Flour
 8 Baking powder
 10 unsweetened cocoa
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease and flour a loaf pan.

2

Separate the egg whites from the yolks. Retrieve the zest and juice of the orange.

3

Place the cooled melted butter and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix using a wooden spoon. Add the egg yolks, milk, flour, and baking powder. Mix again.

4

In a second bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then fold them into the previous mixture.

5

Separate the dough into two parts: add cocoa to one part, and orange juice and zest to the other.

6

In the loaf pan, alternate pouring the cocoa batter and the orange batter.

7

Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the oven (the tip of a knife should come out clean). Let it cool for a few minutes before unmolding, then completely on a rack before enjoying.

8

To finish, if it is not consumed right away, wrap it in cling film while it is still warm to keep it moist.
