Cook the tapioca pearls Boil water in a large pot. Add the tapioca pearls and stir regularly to prevent them from sticking. Let them cook for 15 to 20 minutes (or according to the package instructions) until they are tender and translucent. Drain them, rinse with cold water, then mix with brown sugar to coat.
Prepare the tea. Steep the tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the bags and let the tea cool.
Assemble the drink. In each glass, distribute the tapioca pearls at the bottom. Add the syrup for sweetness, then pour in the chilled tea. Top with milk and mix well.
Add ice (optional). If you want a nice cold drink, add ice. Then serve immediately with a wide straw, perfect for sucking up the tapioca pearls.
