Yields6 ServingsPrep Time10 minsCook Time50 minsTotal Time1 hr

A good way to fight against food waste. Overripe bananas can be made into a cake, and there you have a snack for the kids!

Ingredients
 190 Flour
 130 powdered sugar
 2 Egg
 2 Banana
 75 melted butter
 1 Baking powder
 1 pinch Salt
 1 cork of rum
 100 chocolate chips or raisins
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180° C. Mash the flesh of the bananas: keep one half for the final decoration. Add the melted butter and mix well.

2

Add the powdered sugar, then the eggs, and whisk everything together. Add the baking powder, then the flour, and finally finish with the salt. Add the flavoring and the topping of your choice.

3

Grease a loaf pan, then pour the batter into it. Place half a banana on top. Bake for 50 minutes.

4

To finish, once baked, take your banana cake out of the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. To store your cake, you can wrap it in plastic wrap. However, avoid putting it in the fridge as the butter it contains would cause it to harden. You can serve your cake with whipped cream or custard.
