Enjoy these air fryer churros, a lower-fat and very crispy version of this Spanish treat. Easy to prepare, these churros are perfect for an indulgent dessert without guilt!
Prepare the dough. In a saucepan, bring the water, butter, sugar, salt, and vanilla to a boil. Remove from heat and add the flour all at once. Mix vigorously until you have a smooth dough that comes away from the sides.
Incorporate the eggs. Let cool slightly, then add the eggs one by one, mixing well between each addition until the batter is smooth and shiny.
Prepare the air fryer. Preheat the air fryer to 200 °C.
Shape the churros. Fill a piping bag with the dough and form "U" shapes to create the churros. Place the churros on a tray suitable for the air fryer, making sure to space them out sufficiently.
Cooking Cook the churros in the air fryer for 10 to 12 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
At the time of serving, sprinkle with a little sugar and/or cinnamon and serve warm.
