A lovely recipe for a snack, the fruit of imagination.
Prepare the caramel. In a pan, melt the sugar without stirring. When the sugar is completely melted and takes on a nice amber color, add the cream at the edges, mix, and continue cooking for 1 minute. Remove from heat, add the butter, and mix until the butter is fully incorporated. Set aside.
Peel and chop the apples into small cubes.
In a pan, heat half of the butter and melt the apples for 10 minutes. Add the roughly chopped almonds, raisins, and cinnamon.
Brush the pastry sheets with the remaining melted butter and layer them on top of each other.
Preheat the oven to 200° C.
Spread the apples, almonds, and raisins on the pastry sheets. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll it up, brush with melted butter, and bake for about 20 minutes (the strudel should be golden).
To finish, dust the strudel with powdered sugar and serve with salted butter caramel and fresh cream.
