Recipe for Green Tomato Jam with Vanilla

I have convinced more than one skeptic with this recipe.

Ingredients
 1 Green tomato
 400 Sugar
 ½ Untreated lemon
 ½ clove Vanilla
 2 Agar-agar

Cut the tomatoes and lemon into thin slices. Put them in a container.

Cut the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the bean and the seeds to the container.

Add the sugar. Cover and let marinate for at least 12 hours.

Cook uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes. The jam takes on a lovely amber color.

Add the agar-agar and stir well. Cook for another 10 minutes.

To finish, remove the vanilla pod and the lemon peels. Then, transfer to jars.
