Today I propose shrimp with chorizo and olives. A dish prepared in Spanish style, which has character and is well-seasoned, as I used spicy chorizo. If you prefer milder flavors, you should use mild chorizo. This dish offers a land-sea mix. It's easy and quick to prepare, aromatic, and rich in flavor. Serve it with rice, mashed potatoes, or pasta.
Prepare all the ingredients as the cooking will go quickly. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Shell the shrimp if not already done. Remove the skin from the sausage and cut it into small pieces.
Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil. Add the chorizo, onion, and garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes, stirring.
Add the shrimp and continue cooking for another 3 minutes until the shrimp change color and turn pink.
Add the olives, the herbs, and the water, and mix. I did not salt or pepper my dish, because to me it was good as it was. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring, so that all the flavors combine.
To finish, serve with rice, pasta, or a side of your choice.
