Tomato sauce is a classic, essential in many recipes or to elevate a simple dish of pasta or rice, for example. Here is an ultra-simple and delicious recipe for tomato sauce using a cooking machine.

 2 Tomato
 3 Onion
 3 cloves Garlic
 1 Sugar
 1 Olive oil
 4 Provence herbs
 5 Bay leaf
 Salt
 Pepper

Peel and chop the onion in the food processor for 15 seconds at speed 7.

Sauté the onion in olive oil for 2 minutes at speed 1, at 100°C.

Add the chopped tomatoes, peeled garlic, herbs, bay leaves, sugar, salt, and pepper. Then cook for 35 minutes at speed 1 at 100°C.

To finish, remove the bay leaves and blend for 30 seconds at speed 10. Store in sealed jars.

    The first time it was a bit too liquid, so for the second attempt I increased the time to 45 minutes and especially removed the measuring cap. To avoid splattering, the measuring cap can be placed above its locking position, which allows the steam to escape. Adding a few basil leaves is great. Thank you.
