Today I propose a savory cake with ham, cheese, and mushrooms. A delicious cake, rich in flavor and very indulgent. An alternative to quiches and savory tarts. Very easy to make, it is quite substantial. Perfect for an appetizer, a starter, a buffet, or a picnic.
Prepare all the ingredients. Cut the cheese into small cubes, clean and slice the mushrooms and green onions, peel and chop the garlic, and finely chop the parsley.
Prepare the mushrooms. Heat a skillet with oil over medium-high heat. Add the mushrooms and sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. They should be golden. At the end, season with salt and pepper, add the garlic and parsley, and mix. Turn off the heat and let cool slightly.
Preheat the oven to 180°C, static heat.
Prepare the mold. Line a 26 cm cake mold with parchment paper.
Prepare the batter. Pour the flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper into a bowl, and mix. Make a well in the center and add the eggs, milk, and oil. Whisk until the mixture is smooth. Fold in the ham sticks, diced cheese, and cooked mushrooms, then add the green onions and parsley. Pour the batter into the mold and spread it evenly.
Bake in the oven for about 55 minutes or until the wooden skewer comes out clean.
Let cool for 10 minutes. Then unmold and allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
