A classic dish: peas and carrots. Here is an easy and quick recipe for sautéed peas with carrots. Count on 1.5 kg of fresh peas for 600 g of shelled peas (or opt for frozen ones). A great alternative to canned peas and carrots! They are perfect with bacon as a side!
Prepare the vegetables. Peel and slice the onion.
Peel and slice the carrots.
Cooking in a pan: Cook the onion in olive oil for 3 minutes.
Add the peas and the carrots. Season with salt and pepper.
Cover with water to the desired height. Cook for about 20 minutes.
Serve with flat-leaf parsley.
