Today I propose to you delicious puff pastries with fresh figs and nuts. A superb dessert, snack, or breakfast that delighted us.
Preheat the oven to 180°C, fan mode (or 200°C, static mode).
Roll out the puff pastry. Cut it into 4 pieces, then make 3 cuts on each side about 1 cm apart, leaving a margin of about 1 cm.
Cut the figs into quarters and place 8 pieces (the equivalent of 2 figs) on each piece of dough, in the center, forming a triangle.
Drizzle each pastry with a teaspoon of honey.
Coarsely chop the nuts and sprinkle them on top.
Fold the figs over one side, then the second side on top, and seal the base by creating a hem.
In a cup, mix the egg yolk with the milk or water and brush the pastries with this mixture.
Bake for 20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
Let cool for 5 minutes, then place on the serving dish.
To finish, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve warm for best results. You can also serve them cold, but warm is incredible!
