But what is it? These are small Lebanese pastries filled with spiced ground meat. These savory bites are part of the famous Lebanese mezze. These little pizzas are perfect for a snack, a meal with a salad, or as part of a mezze spread.

Ingredients
 2 pizza dough
250 ground lamb, preferably leg, or ground beef
 1 onion
 2 cloves garlic
 4 olive oil
 1 large tomato
 8 parsley
 10 mint
 1 sweet pepper
 1 cinnamon
 salt and pepper
 1 pomegranate molasses
 2 pine nuts
 1 lemon
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

2

Prepare the filling. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel and mince the garlic. Remove the stem from the tomato, wash it, and then cut it into small cubes. Wash and dry the parsley and mint, then finely chop them. In a bowl, mix the ground meat with the chopped onion and garlic, the diced tomato, parsley, and mint, along with salt and pepper.

3

Heat the olive oil in a skillet and spread the mixture while crushing it with a wooden spoon until the meat changes color. At this point, add the sweet chili, cinnamon, and molasses, and mix. Let cook while stirring for 15 minutes.

4

Flatten the dough balls with the palm of your hand to create discs about 8 to 10 centimeters in diameter. The dough should be thin but not too much. Place a little filling in the center of each disc. Lift the edges and pinch the four corners to form a sort of basket.

5

Place the sfiha on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Add a few pine nuts on top of each sfiha. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

6

Enjoy the sfiha hot or warm. Before tasting, add a few drops of lemon juice to the filling. (It can be accompanied by a glass of a spirit. Please be aware that excessive alcohol consumption is dangerous for health.)

7

To finish, ENJOY YOUR MEAL!
