Peel and slice the potatoes, steam them for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, grease a baking dish with butter. Peel and slice the onions.
When the potatoes are cooked, place a first layer of potatoes, then add the onions and place slices of mozzarella that have been cut beforehand.
To finish, make a second layer of potatoes, then add slices of mozzarella, and finally season with salt, pepper, and sprinkle with cheese. Pour the cream over the mixture. Place in the oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour.
