I made this recipe for the first time and it was a great success! Make it 2 days in advance by letting the pears sit in the syrup and stirring them! I reduced the juice to make it thicker! A treat!

Poached pear, a delight Delicious and light, will make again My suggestion: Served with a scoop of ice cream drizzled with reduced syrup, superb.

Extra! A real treat! What a great idea to add blackcurrant liqueur, we really enjoyed it! Thank you for this recipe. My suggestion: For my part, when it's just family, I cut the pears in half so they soak up this delicious nectar well; it may not look as nice, but it's so much better! Since the fruit was firm, I did not change the cooking time, it was perfect.

Delicious A perfect dessert after a good meal, just a bit too sweet for my taste! Enjoy your meal My suggestion: Half wine, half water, and less sugar. My grandmother suggests adding nutmeg!

Pears in wine Excellent. Scent of my childhood that reminds me of my grandmother's recipes. My suggestion: Nothing to change, it's perfect. I just replaced the blackcurrant liqueur with blackcurrant syrup as suggested by another user.
