Wash the pea pods. Remove the strings.
Peel and slice the onion. Peel and chop the garlic.
Cook the onion and garlic in olive oil for 4 minutes.
Add the bay leaf, thyme, and pods. Season with salt and pepper. Add one liter of water, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
Finally, blend and strain. Add the liquid cream just before serving.
