Tested tonight with great success! I just replaced the bacon with shredded smoked ham and used store-bought béchamel because it was what I had on hand... Everyone loved it, including my husband who doesn't like leek! We enjoyed it. Thank you for this simple and quick recipe! Give it a try!

I am making it, but with a variation: chopped spinach, ham, and grated cheese. I season my homemade béchamel with nutmeg and pepper!

Delicious and very easy to make! However, I did not add ginger or cumin to the béchamel (personal taste!), and I sautéed my leeks in just butter over low heat for 20 minutes without adding water! In any case, this is a recipe I will make again!

Simple recipe to prepare and nice. The only downside: too many spices. It's better to use teaspoons rather than tablespoons.
