Recipe for French toast

Yields1 ServingPrep Time15 minsCook Time5 minsTotal Time20 mins

A memory of breakfast in the United States. I never quite understood what this famous French toast had to do with France. Maybe it was their resemblance to lost bread. And "lost bread" would have sounded less chic! A recipe from the book "Healthy Recipes by Margot." Photographic credits: Recipe photographs and culinary styling by Émilie Ughetto and Émilie Franzo. Ingredients
 1 Egg
 15 Organic milk
 Pecans
 Natural vanilla extract
Directions
1

In a shallow bowl, beat the egg with a fork, add a splash of milk, and a little natural vanilla extract if you like.

2

You can also try with ground cinnamon or orange blossom, it's delicious.

3

Dip your slices of bread in the mixture on both sides. Cook in a skillet for a few minutes on each side until the toast is golden.

4

Enjoy warm with fresh fruits: berries, banana, warm apples, pecans... You can sprinkle with cinnamon if you like.
