This recipe for American cookies, soft and fluffy with two chocolates, is excellent with its dark chocolate and milk chocolate. It's a chef's recipe that can be made for a brunch or enjoyed during a small hunger throughout the day.

Ingredients
 190 Milk chocolate
 190 Dark chocolate
 120 Brown sugar
 120 Granulated sugar
 300 Flour
 6 Baking powder
 175 Soft unsalted butter
 1 Egg
Directions
1

Preparation of the chocolate For 20 cookies: Take the butter out of the refrigerator in advance to soften it. Finely chop the chocolates with a knife and set aside.

2

Preparing the cookie dough In a mixing bowl, add the two sugars, flour, and baking powder, then add the softened butter cut into cubes, followed by the egg, mix, and incorporate the chocolates.

3

Tip: If you want to halve the proportions (because it makes too many cookies), beat the egg and keep half for the cookies. You can add the remaining half to an omelette.

4

Shape the cookies On a silicone sheet or parchment paper, form a log of dough with a diameter of 5 cm. Sprinkle some flour to prevent the dough from sticking to the paper and your fingers. Let rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.

5

Baking the cookies Preheat the oven to 170 °C. Take the cookie dough out of the refrigerator. Cut slices about 2.5 cm thick. Place the cookies spaced apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10 minutes.

6

Enjoy warm or cold.
