Enjoy this dark chocolate, apple, and nut cake. A recipe to indulge in without moderation and without guilt.
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Wash and peel the apple. Grate the apple. Set aside. Melt the dark chocolate cut into pieces in a bain-marie. Off the heat, add the melted butter and mix gently. Add the sugar as well as the eggs (beaten) with a pinch of salt. Mix using a spatula to obtain a homogeneous batter. Add the grated apple. Incorporate the two sifted flours. Add crushed walnut halves, chopped dried apricots, and cranberries. Mix well.
Pour into a mold lined with parchment paper. Arrange the chopped nuts on top. Bake for 12-15 minutes depending on your oven. Keep an eye on the cooking time, as it depends on the size of your mold and your oven. The cake should not be overcooked; the center should remain soft and moist. Once the cake has cooled, you can sprinkle it with homemade vanilla sugar. ENJOY YOUR MEAL!
