Here is a delicious and flavorful recipe that combines tender pork with umami oyster sauce. A very simple dish that opens the doors to Asia with all its aromas. This Asian dish blends sweet and savory flavors thanks to a spice marinade and fresh ginger. Easy to prepare, it simmers slowly to develop all its aromas. Perfect for a meal with family or friends, this melt-in-your-mouth pork in its sauce will delight the taste buds of Asian cuisine lovers.
Cut the pork into cubes. Peel and cut the ginger into sticks. Thinly slice the shallot. Peel and crush the garlic.
Put everything in a container, add the five-spice powder, soy sauce, and oil, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (the longer it marinates, the better it is). Stir occasionally.
Sauté the meat with the marinade for 5 minutes in a skillet over high heat (do not add oil, as there is already some in the marinade).
Pepper (and especially do not salt!), crumble the chicken cube, add 400 ml of water, cover the pan, lower the heat, and let simmer.
At halfway through cooking (about 30 minutes), add the oyster sauce.
To finish, at the end of cooking, check the seasoning, then serve with white rice.
