Start by scoring the shell of the chestnuts with a sharp knife in the shape of a cross.
Place the chestnuts in a microwave-safe dish, moisten with a little water, cover with a lid or plate, and heat for 3 minutes and 30 seconds at 800 watts.
When the time is up, take them out of the microwave and let them cool for a few minutes.
Finally, it's time to peel the chestnuts before enjoying them.
