It's a recipe from my mom; the more I make it, the more I appreciate it, and I sometimes change the ingredients a little.

Yields4 Servings
Prep Time15 minsCook Time30 minsTotal Time45 mins
Ingredients
 2 Leek
 4 Egg
 1 Bacon bits
 1 Goat cheese log
 Nutmeg
 Pepper
Directions
1

Sauté the bacon over medium heat in a skillet (without adding any fat).

2

When the bacon has released some of its fat, add the leeks sliced into thin strips and let cook for about 10 minutes.

3

Beat the eggs, add the cream, pepper, and nutmeg (no salt, the bacon is salty enough).

4

Roll out the puff pastry in the tart dish. Add the leeks and bacon. Pour in the beaten eggs and sprinkle with slices of goat cheese.

5

Finally, bake in the oven at 160°C for about 30 minutes. Insert a knife blade in the center; if it comes out dry, it’s ready.

Excellent. I replaced the cream with 200 ml of semi-skimmed milk thickened with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and it works well, it's better for cholesterol! Even if I prefer whole cream for its taste and consistency. I will keep the original for family celebrations.

Very good. Easy and quick to prepare. I placed the slices of goat cheese directly on the puff pastry. I only used 3 eggs (since my dough was a bit small for the pan, I was afraid it would overflow) but that was quite sufficient. I used the green ends of leeks that I always keep in the freezer when I prepare dishes with vinaigrette, for example, and it was perfect. Except for the guest who unfortunately does not like goat cheese and is allergic to it (be careful, that can indeed happen), everyone found it very good! Will make it again!

Simple Super good, even my 18-month-old daughter was able to eat it, quick and I make the dough myself. My suggestion: we can even add a bit of mustard to enhance the flavor.

Super good Honestly, I'm not used to cooking, but to impress my man, I made this recipe that is delicious and different from the traditional leek quiche.
