Preparation of the dough Preheat your oven to 180°C. In a large bowl, mix the eggs, flour, baking powder, melted butter, milk, and grated cheese. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, and spices of your choice. Mix well until you obtain a smooth dough. Pour the dough into an inverted pie dish. Bake for 20 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and cooked through. Let cool completely before unmolding.

Topping Spread the mascarpone generously over the cooled and unmolded crust. Arrange the cucumber slices in one or two layers, according to your preference. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sprinkle with fresh basil leaves for a fragrant finishing touch. Serve well chilled.
