Chocolate Christmas Tree Recipe

Yields10 ServingsPrep Time30 minsCook Time30 minsTotal Time1 hr

Today I suggest chocolate trees, nicely prepared for dessert or a festive snack. They are very cute and delicious. Moreover, they are very easy to make and do not require the use of a special mold. You can decorate them as you like. Consider involving the children in the process; they will love it.

Cake
 200 Butter
 200 dark chocolate
 4 Egg
 140 Sugar
 5 tonka bean (optional)
 200 Flour
Icing
 100 Cream cheese
 60 Powdered sugar
In addition
 sugar pearls
Directions
1

Preheat the oven to 180°C, static heat.

2

Melt the chocolate with the butter, cut into pieces, in the microwave, in 20-30 second intervals, until you achieve a smooth and homogeneous texture.

3

Add the eggs one by one and incorporate them with a spatula. Add the sugar and the grated tonka bean and mix again.

4

Finally, incorporate the flour in several additions.

5

Pour the mixture into a 20*20 cm square dish lined with parchment paper. Spread evenly and smooth the surface.

6

Bake for 30 minutes.

7

In the meantime, prepare the frosting. Blend the cream cheese with the powdered sugar. Add the green coloring and mix again until you achieve a smooth mixture.

8

Place in a piping bag fitted with a smooth tip of 1 mm in diameter. Set aside in the fridge while waiting for the cake to cool.

9

Once the cake is completely cooled, cut triangles in the shape of trees and thread them onto sticks.

10

To finish, decorate with the icing and sugar pearls.
