Very good, but... Very good, but no cooking. In fact, there's no need to cook it. You don't bake a cake without flour and eggs! My suggestion: If you don't like alcohol in desserts, you can add a bit of coffee.

Response to Marie-rose As one can see, this cake is indeed compact, hence its name. Given the ingredients, one should not expect it to be fluffy; that is not the goal. I have made it many times, and some of my acquaintances have as well, without any issues. That said, it is also a matter of taste... My suggestion: The recipe is very simple, and I don't see what additional precision is needed other than not cooking the chocolate while melting it, using very good quality chocolate (it will only be better!), and ensuring the cake is well-baked in a water bath in not too hot an oven.

Chocolate almond bar I wonder why it needs to be baked? Since there is neither flour nor egg, I would like to know what the baking is for. I really want to make it.

Very disappointed I trusted and tried it = at the end of the 2 hours of cooking and after cooling, it was like concrete. It resembled overcooked caramel nougat... It seems there is an error in the description of this recipe. My suggestion: Clarifications would be necessary.

will be much better without cooking; once firmly packed in the mold, refrigerate it and unmold the next day; try it and you will notice the difference.
