The Mont d'Or cheese is a cheese that can be enjoyed cold or hot. It is a seasonal cheese, produced in the Jura region. It is made from raw milk encased in a band of spruce wood.
First, preheat your oven to 180° C. Wash and cook the potatoes for about thirty minutes in salted boiling water or in a steamer. Wash the broccoli, cut it into small florets, and steam it until slightly crunchy. Immerse the cooked florets in ice water to stop the cooking process and maintain a vibrant green color.
Make a 2 cm hole in each cheese. Pour in white wine and place a clove of garlic in each hole. Wrap the cheese boxes in aluminum foil, then bake for about thirty minutes (keep an eye on it; when the cheese becomes nice and gooey, it's ready).
To finish, toast the bread and then cut it into cubes. Take the dish out of the oven. Serve it hot. Everyone will dip their potatoes, vegetables, and pieces of bread using a fondue skewer.
