It's both! Norman and Breton! We, Bretons, call it "Roz ar millin" and you call it "teurgoule," but we have been neighbors since ancient times and I don't want to argue about the origins of this fabulous dessert! And even though I am proud of my Breton roots, I have been married for 18 years to a true Norman! And I am the happiest person in the world with this Norman!

different proportions I haven't tested these proportions, but they surprise me. My suggestion: For 1 liter of milk, I take 62 g of short-grain rice, 62 g of sugar, and one vanilla pod (or for 2 liters of milk, 125 g of rice and the same amount of sugar). I heat everything before putting it in the oven for 3 hours at only 120°. I'm afraid that what is proposed here: 170° and a cooking time of 4 hours for the 'traditional' method will result in overcooked rice pudding, lacking in creaminess.
