Yields4 Servings
Ingredients
 600 Pork sauté (neck)
 2 Fresh ginger
 1 Shallot
 1 clove Garlic
 5 Soy sauce
 3 Oil
 1 Chicken broth
 2 Oyster sauce
 Pepper
Directions
1

Cut the pork into cubes. Peel and cut the ginger into sticks. Thinly slice the shallot. Peel and crush the garlic.

2

Put everything in a container, add the five-spice powder, soy sauce, and oil, mix well, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (the longer it marinates, the better it is). Stir occasionally.

3

Sauté the meat with the marinade for 5 minutes in a skillet over high heat (do not add oil, as there is already some in the marinade).

4

Pepper (and especially do not salt!), crumble the chicken cube, add 400 ml of water, cover the pan, lower the heat, and let simmer.

5

At halfway through cooking (about 30 minutes), add the oyster sauce.

6

To finish, at the end of cooking, check the seasoning, then serve with white rice.

Overall, a good recipe; however, I make it without cubes and after the cooking time, I let it simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat to concentrate the flavors. ;)

Absolutely delicious and easy, but it's a shame that the sauce is so watery. I wonder if we can do something with cornstarch.

If I may offer a suggestion, try dipping your pieces of meat in a little lemon juice before eating them during the meal :)

Sublime for the taste buds and memories.... Nothing to critique about the proportions; I must say I had real homemade broth made the day before, so it was even better and less salty than the cube!

Absolutely amazing!! I made this recipe last week and we loved it!! I doubled the quantities and added lemongrass and black mushrooms, hoping it will be just as good!!!! I haven't tasted it yet; it's simmering!!!
