Banana Chocolate Cake Recipe
If you have some bananas waiting and you love chocolate, here is THE recipe to make! Often in banana cakes, I find that the taste of banana is too strong. Here, it remains subtle, and the moistness is on point!
Ingredients
3 bananas
110 melted butter
100 fine sugar
1 Egg
1 vanilla extract
1 Baking soda
125 flour
½ cup bitter cocoa (1 cup 220ml)
170 chocolate chips
60 buttermilk or yogurt

Butter a loaf pan and dust it with cocoa, removing the excess. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, and baking soda. In a second bowl, mix together the sugar, egg, melted butter, and buttermilk until fully combined. Pour the wet ingredients over the dry ingredients.

Add the mashed bananas and chocolate chips. Pour the batter into a loaf pan and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 1 hour, until the cake is cooked. Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool completely on a rack before enjoying. Dust with a little powdered sugar.

To finish, note: Like many cakes, this one can also be frozen, either slice by slice or whole.
