Recipe for Apple, Vanilla, and Cinnamon Cake

You can serve your apple cake with whipped cream, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or plain.

 100 Flour
 60 Unrefined sugar
 40 Milk
 20 Neutral oil
 2 Golden Apple
 Ground cinnamon
 60 Melted butter
 2 Egg
 40 Brown sugar
 Vanilla extract or vanilla powder

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Butter a ceramic or other type of dish (for me, it is 20 cm in diameter!). In a small mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Then add the egg, milk, and oil. Mix well to obtain a smooth batter. Pour the batter into your dish.

Wash and peel the apples. Cut them into thin slices. Arrange the apple slices neatly and tightly on the dough in a rosette shape. I generally make two layers to achieve the right apple flavor. Sprinkle with cinnamon (optional!). Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Prepare the filling: Add the sugar, vanilla, and egg to the melted butter. Mix well to achieve a smooth mixture. After 15-20 minutes of baking, remove the cake.

To finish, brush the apples with the sauce using a pastry brush. Bake the cake a second time for about 15 to 20 minutes depending on your oven. The surface will become nicely golden and crispy.
