Are you looking for a simple yet delicious cake to prepare for a snack or dessert? The pound cake with chocolate chips is the ideal recipe. This classic pastry combines the moist texture of traditional pound cake with the crunch of chocolate chips.
Work the softened (not melted) butter until it becomes creamy. Add the sugar and beat the mixture until it is smooth.
Break the eggs, separating the whites from the yolks. Add the yolks to the mixture and stir.
Gradually fold in the flour, then the beaten egg whites with a pinch of salt, gently lifting the dough. Add the chocolate chips, mixing gently.
Finally, pour the mixture into a 20 cm diameter cake pan, buttered and floured if not made of silicone. Bake for 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 160°C. Wait 5 minutes before unmolding.
