Here is the recipe for ghribias, or ghoribas, or motecaos, made with almonds and flavored with lemon zest. The recipe is very simple, and I recommend it for an afternoon snack or to celebrate a special occasion.
Preheat the oven to 180°C (thermostat 6). Place all the ingredients except the whole almonds and powdered sugar into the mixer bowl. Blend.
Shape balls the size of a walnut. Roll them in powdered sugar. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press a whole almond into each one.
Finally, let cook for 15 minutes while monitoring: the cookies should not brown. Let cool and wait a day (if you can!) before biting into them.
